Soccer Routine Kids – Useful Tips
Soccer routine kids is something that every coach has to deal with. The coach has to work hard in dealing with various discipline problems at the training session.
Proper Soccer Practice Behavior For Kids
Following are some of the things that coaches need to make sure regarding the discipline and behavior of the kids.
- All the kids must follow all instructions of the coach and of those who are assisting the coach in the training session.
- Kids must be attentive to what the coach has to say.
- No matter who wins or loses, the ethics and dignity of the game must be followed.
- There should be no swearing or name-calling.
- Do not allow the kids kick the ball until you tell them to do so.
Using Whistle
Whistle is an important equipment for soccer training and every coach must use the same in order to get attention from the players.
The Training Session Is Not An Academic School
It is very important for the coach to understand that the soccer coaching is different from the way classes in academic schools are held. Kids come for the training session with an intention to have fun and play. If the coaches will make the game look very serious, the kids will not enjoy the same and this may result in various disciplinary issues.
Therefore, if you want the kids to have their interest in the game following all the disciplines, you must design the training session fun and engaging. Do not be too rigid, but do not be too light as well.
Do Not Teach By Lecture Only
You should teach everything through practice and interactive games and soccer drills, and not through the long boring lectures. Well, lectures are important, but you must keep it short and simple. Again, there should be no lecture in the middle of the game.
The right time for the lecture is the beginning of the session or in different breaks. Majority of the training session must be in the form of a keep-away game or cone drills. Explain the drills briefly, and then let them run around and play
The more the training session will be interactive, fun and engaging, the les you will have to deal with the disciplinary issues. Thus, soccer routine kids can be easy to deal with if you take care of the little things as discussed.

Soccer Practice – How To Enhance Shooting Skills
Soccer practice is very important for the players to enhance their shooting skills. There are various soccer drills and games that can help improve and reinforce the shooting skills of the players. Let me give you a brief insight into the same.
Win The Ball And Shoot
This is a simple way to teach shooting skills. In this drill, the coach has to let the players stand in two lines – one on his right side and the other on his left side. Make sure that both these lines are at least eighteen to twenty from the goal. Now to start the drill practice, the coach will serve the ball to the players standing on his one side and one of the players have to take the initiative, get the ball and shoot the ball while attempting to score a goal.
Initially, you need not have a goalkeeper to defend the goals, but as you realize that the shooting skills of the players have increased, you can go ahead and have a goalkeeper. Adding a goalkeeper makes the drill a little tougher for the players because now they have to shoot the ball, attempting to score a goal saving it from the hands of the goalie.
Pass And Shoot
As the name suggests, in this drill, the players have to make certain number of passes before they shoot the ball and attempt to score a goal. The coach must go for this drill in a 30 yd x 30 yd grid with two opposing goalpost as in the actual game. There will be two teams and as per the rules of this drill, each team is supposed to make at least five passes before they attempt shooting, but again, they have to save the ball from stealing by the opponent team.
If one team loses the possession of the ball after less than five passes, they will have to again try to repossess the ball, make four passes, and then shoot the ball, attempting to score a goal. The team that does this successfully gets a point. At the end of this drill practice session, the team withy more points wins.
There are various other ways. For example, in the “cones instead of goal” drill, the coach will place five cones instead of goalpost and the players are then instructed to shoot at these cones. The team that knocks down three or more cones wins. Goalkeepers are not required for this soccer practice.

Soccer Field Diagram: Learn The 4 Different Positions
There are four different positions in the soccer field diagram. They are usually termed as Forwards, Midfielders, Defenders, and Goalie/goalkeeper. Let me give you a brief insight into the same.
Forwards

Forwards are those players who have to position themselves near the goal of their opponent team. Players at other position pass them the ball and it is their task to convert that passing of the ball into scoring a goal. Their primary task is to score goals, and that is the reason why they need to be strong enough.
They may lack certain other skills, but it is of vital importance that they should have a strong body with power and energy. Again, it is not always that they play near the opponent’s goal post only. Of course, all the players have to keep moving depending upon the circumstances.
Moreover, they may have to spend some time in the middle of the field also. When forwards play in the midst of the field, they are known as “strikers”. When they have to play near the touchlines, they are known as “Wings”. Overall, Forwards must be quick runners with powerful kicking skills and accuracy in shooting.
Midfielders
In general, there can be somewhere between three and six midfielders in a soccer team. They play with an objective to get control of the ball and then pass the same to the forwards so that they could score goals for the team. As the name suggests, midfielders play most of the times in the middle of the field.
The coach should work in a way to enhance the tackling abilities of the midfielders because it is this ability that helps them stealing the ball from the opponent players and pass the same to the Forwards. Midfielders must have great accuracy in passing the ball.
Defenders
In general, there can be somewhere between three and five defenders in a soccer team. Their position in the field is just near their own goalpost, as their main task is to save the goals attempted by the opponent players. That is the reason why they are termed as defenders.
What is more, it is also their task to take the ball from the goalie and pass the same to the midfielders. They have to kick the ball very far to the midfielders. Therefore, it is important for the coach to train them accordingly.
Goalie of course saves the goal for your team, and is the only player in the soccer field diagram who is allowed to use his hands.
